DAY 1 HA GIANG YEN MINH 95 KM 

Begin your journey by leaving the city and heading straight into the first high slopes. You will face the Bac Sum Pass where the roads wind like silk ribbons across the mountainside. When you reach the Quan Ba Heaven Gate you will be amazed by the beauty of the Twin Mountains in the middle of the misty valley. 

After a cozy lunch in the Can Ty Valley you will ride through the lush Yen Minh pine forests which bring a sense of absolute peace before resting at your first homestay.

DAY 2 YEN MINH DONG VAN 40 KM 

The second day is a journey into the heart of the UNESCO Global Geopark. Although the distance is short every meter of the road is deeply marked by culture. You will visit the Lung Tam weaving village to learn about the long standing traditional craft of making linen from hemp. 

Next you will conquer the Tham Ma Pass with its impressive consecutive curves. Do not forget to stop at the ancient Pho Cao village and walk on the surreal grey rock plateaus before returning to the Dong Van Old Quarter.

DAY 3 DONG VAN MEO VAC 80 KM 

A day of legendary icons. In the morning you will drive to the Lung Cu Flag Tower the sacred northernmost point where you can overlook the entire border. Then comes the real challenge at Ma Pi Leng Pass the King of Vietnamese passes.

 The feeling of riding on the cliffside looking down at the emerald Nho Que River below will be an unforgettable memory. You will also have time to take a boat on the river to explore the magnificent Tu San Canyon before spending the night in Meo Vac.

DAY 4 MEO VAC PAC PO 150 KM 

This is the longest and most wild stretch as we transfer from Ha Giang to Cao Bang. You will pass through peaceful border valleys with few tourist footprints. The highlight is the 15 level pass with its fascinating zigzag curves. 

In the afternoon you will arrive at the Pac Po historical site where the crystal clear Lenin Stream and peaceful historical caves create a quiet and relaxing space after a long day of riding.

DAY 5 PAC PO BAN GIOC WATERFALL 90 KM

Today the route takes you through the lush green fields of Cao Bang to reach Ban Gioc Waterfall the largest waterfall in Vietnam located right on the international border. 

You can take a raft close to the foot of the fall to feel the power of the water. Then you will explore the beautiful Nguom Ngao Cave with its stunning stalactites. For the final night you will stay at the Khuoi Ky stone village where the Tay ethnic people have lived in houses made of rock for hundreds of years.

DAY 6 BAN GIOC CAO BANG CITY 85 KM 

The last day of the journey is a relaxing trip through long standing craft villages. You will stop at the Phuc Sen forging village and the herbal incense village of the local people. 

A highlight not to be missed is the Eye of the Mountain a unique natural wonder in the middle of a vast green grass valley. Your grand adventure will conclude in Cao Bang City in the late afternoon.
